Neighbors Line Up To Thank UPS Driver

UPS and delivery drivers work hard every day to make sure that packages are delivered. In these crazy times, we’ve come to be really dependent on home delivery, and we need those essential workers more than ever. Gregory Watkins has been working with UPS for 24 years . He has been driving in Smithtown, Long Island for 13 years. Since the coronavirus pandemic has been in effect, Greg has been picking up extra shifts in order to make sure everyone in the community gets the supplies that they need. During his trips, he has really bonded with the residents, and they speak very highly of him. “Greg has always been a part of our community,” Linda Muratrore commented. She then added, “we just wanted to do something to say thank you. He always has a smile on his face; he would go out of his way to be extra helpful, carrying heavy packages. Just being the person that he is and knowing him for so long, we just wanted to give back.” Greg received a text from one of his neighbors asking him to come over right away to give some assistance. When he pulled into the neighborhood he was greeted by a sea of people thanking him. They held up signs and were cheering for him. “I started driving through and I was just blown away at what was going on,” he said. “I find it amazing that they took time out to plan this for me. I am just so humbled by the whole thing, I am still on cloud nine.” He then added, "I'm very thankful. I'm just blessed to know each and every one of them." Pictures and videos of the beautiful moment of Greg and the community that were uploaded to the internet went viral. They really did a spectacular job of making sure he felt honored.

Husband And Wife Sing 'Brightly Beams Our Fathers Mercy'

A husband and wife beautifully sing the hymn ‘Brightly Beams Our Fathers Mercy' in this stunning video. “Brightly beams our Father’s mercy from his lighthouse evermore But to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore Dark the night of sin has settled, loud the angry billows roar Eager eyes are watching, longing for the lights along the shore” These two are seriously talented, and it is wonderful to hear their beautiful voices harmonizing with each other. And the setting that they chose for this music video is breathtaking! The couple is singing in front of a stunning sea view, on a cliff with the shimmering water behind them. “Such a beautifully sung hymn. The scenery fit the song so well,” comments one person on YouTube about the video. “Keep making music and sharing your gifts with the world.” “This has always been one of my favorite hymns,” writes another person on YouTube, “and this arrangement has a gentleness about it that brings me to tears. Thank you.” We hope that this lovely hymn brought you peace as you listened to it today. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Isaiah 32:17-20 The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely, how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.

Viewer Spots News Anchor's Tumor And Helps Save Her Life

One observant viewer saved a sports news anchor life after noticing a tumor on her neck and telling her to go get it checked out. “‘I certainly have not been thinking about my health. I’m just thinking about getting through work every day,” said Victoria Price, a television reporter who found out that she has cancer thanks to an eagle-eyed viewer. The email that she got from a viewer after one of her shows was the tip that helped her take the necessary steps in order to beat her diagnosis. “‘Hi, just saw your news report. What concerned me is the lump on your neck,” read the email Victoria received. “Please have your thyroid checked. Reminds me of my neck. Mine turned out to be cancer. Take care of yourself.” The viewer was correct and the small lump on Victoria’s neck turned out to be thyroid cancer. “My doctor broke the news and we kind of talked about what needed to happen next,” Victoria shared in an interview. At only 28 years old, Victoria found out that the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes surrounding her thyroid. She is having surgery done in order to take out the tumor and hopefully beat her cancer diagnosis. Victoria is incredibly grateful to the viewer who saw that something could have been the matter and had the courage to say something. We all need to look out for each other, and it is wonderful to hear that this viewer’s observation and email helped Victoria find out what needed to be done for her health. Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

In this video, Glen Campbell gives a great performance of the classic song ‘Time In A Bottle’ by Jim Croce. “If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that I'd like to do Is to save every day 'til eternity passes away, just to spend them with you If I could make days last forever, if words could make wishes come true I'd save every day like a treasure and then, again, I would spend them with you” Glen Campbell was a guitarist, singer, songwriter, television host, and actor. Teens Perform Beautiful Duet Of 'The Prayer'

It’s a beautiful moment captured on camera when these two teens perform a duet to ‘The Prayer.’ This powerful song was originally written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis in 1999. It was written in both English and Italian for artists Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli to sing solo. But it was their incredible duet performance that truly propelled the song into the classic that it is today. “So let the children remember the sun Let them dance, let them soar For their lives have begun" Today, another Madeline Powell and Ben Johnston are putting their own spin on this iconic tune at the 2019 Oklahoma Hall Of Ceremony. When these two teens come together, it’s truly an amazing sound. And hearing their rendition of this classic is absolutely incredible. Just listen as they belt out these lyrics that are sure to hit you right in the heart. "Let the children engender the rain As the river runs through fields Forever subsiding their pain Prayer” It is not everyday that we get to see or hear an Elvis cover that is this good. I know it takes so much time and effort to perfect a performance like this, but every single note is spot on and it looks completely effortless. It’s obvious that these two have a talent for performing and I am so glad that they are using their gifts in such a beautiful way. Who else loves hearing this Elvis Presley hit?

Kayaker Escapes Close Call With Charging Alligator

There is nothing like kayaking in cool water on a hot summer day. Usually, you can bring some lunch, and make a picnic as well. Kayaking can be a relaxing way to stay cool. But for Peter Joyce, this became a day he would always remember as the day a gator charged at his boat. The outcome of the attack is nothing short of a miracle. This video was uploaded on Youtube and was quickly viewed more 350,000 times in a short time. The viral video shows how truly terrifying wild creatures can be. The footage starts off showing Peter paddling in what appears to be peaceful, calm waters of the Waccamaw River. Watching the video was like a serene virtual escape--it’s truly beautiful! But about 50 seconds into the video, chaos erupted. “I thought I heard a fish jump to my left--turned out not to be a fish,” Peter recalled, adding, “About three feet from the kayak I made out the head of the gator and that was it. I had no time to react.” The alligator appeared quickly and seemingly out of nowhere! The creature tipped over Peter’s kayak, sending him into the dark water beneath him. He was only under the water for a few seconds before flipping his boat back over, anxiously looking around to see if the deadly reptile was going to attack him for a second time. Loosening his boat from the branches using the oars, Peter then turned around and paddled back to where he came from. Peter was lucky because he wasn’t injured in the attack, nor was his kayak damaged. Thank God for this! Things could’ve turned deadly very quickly. The events that unfolded really rattled Peter. ”It could have been a lot worse,” he admitted. “Usually they make a splash or move and make a ruckus in the water, but this was a continuous charge from about 20 feet away. It definitely made me think a little differently about what their capabilities are,” Peter added. Peter’s description of his video shows that he’s recovered his sense of humor after his harrowing ordeal. He wrote, “While paddling the upper Waccamaw in N.C. I received a warm welcome from the wildlife.” I’m not sure the gator was greeting him or trying to eat him, but it’s good that Peter can make light of his situation now! Peter’s story is an important reminder to be vigilant of wildlife, and stay safe around parts that are populated by alligators. Always proceed with caution as they can become very aggressive creatures, and you can’t always predict their behavior.
