It’s live TV and anything can happen when you’re live. 

The trick is to remain calm and capture what is happening in the most professional way possible. I imagine this reporter was thinking, “I’m live, I need to be calm, cool, and collected even though a bank robber just walked past me!” 

Adam Sallet was at the scene of a crime that had happened the day before. Prior to his live report, the bank had been robbed which sparked the assignment for Adman to report the next day live in front of the bank. But there’s more to the story! 

As Adam gathered the facts and prepped to go live on camera, he began to give the community the information but then something bizarre happened. An employee of the bank rushed outside and was caught on camera rushing past him. As the man ran past him, he told Adam that the man who had previously walked past him seconds before was actually the bank robber. 

Initially, Adam was caught off guard, but he quickly gathered his senses and told everyone, “Uhh, this is live TV folks! The robber just went by according to the bank employee. I gotta go here and call 9-1-1” before signing off on his live broadcast with an “I’ll talk to you later!” 

An hour later after calling the Minnesota authorities, the suspect was captured. Adam and no doubt the bank employee were able to give a proper description of the bank robber and his getaway vehicle. Adam later stated that the bank robber “This was strange, he didn’t really run away in my opinion, he was kind of almost jogging but not full out sprinting away from the scene” of the crime! 

I think we can all safely say, Adam never thought he would be a part of his own live news story but we are sure glad he was in the right place at the right time to help capture the suspect. God has a way of making things happen in the right way at the right time. I guess you can say, crime doesn’t pay, especially during a live news broadcast!

One of the biggest blessings in life is breaking bread with family and friends. 

Sitting down to a warm meal as a way of bringing the best in humanity and this video will blow you away. It’s unexpected and highlights the beauty of fellowship and a full belly. This heartwarming moment highlights a young girl giving a meal to a woman in need. 

The footage is grainy as it seems to have been captured by a security camera. In the video, a daughter is sitting with her father waiting for the food they ordered to be brought to their table. 

It seems that while the pair was waiting for their meal, this young girl noticed an elderly woman hunched over and using a cane to be mobile. It also seems that this woman had very few resources and this young girl knew she needed help. 

The woman’s presence must’ve tugged on the girl’s deep reservoir of compassion and kindness. Because as soon as their food arrived at the table, this sweet young girl knew what to do. 

She didn’t even hesitate, she took the meal to the woman and asked if she would like to have the meal. It looks as though the elderly woman at first resisted, but you can tell by the young girl’s actions, that she wasn’t taking no for an answer. Once the elderly woman accepted, the young girl sat down at the table with her. 

And the most beautiful part of the video was when her father had no clue. He had no idea he had raised a daughter to be selfless and kind. He was confused about what was happening but once he realized what his daughter was doing, he also got up from their table and joined the elderly woman. 

The moment is so beautiful, it will make you misty-eyed. May we all remember to be full of kindness as this young girl is.

No one wants to have Simon question whether or not they are okay enough to get through an audition. 

That had to rattle Lily Meola’s nerves when she performed an original song during America’s Got Talent. Lily was nervous and still in the process of grieving the life she had. She was on the precipice of all her dreams coming true. 

She had a record deal and she had her mother. But then everything came crashing down when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. 

Lily then shared that it was a blessing she lost everything because it gave her extra time with her mother. “"I think maybe it was a bit of a blessing because it gave me some extra time to be there for her. She was my biggest cheerleader."

Lily’s mother eventually passed from this side of heaven to the next. In her darkest hours, it seemed she had lost everything. But in reality she gained the gift of strength and learning what it means sorrow may last for the night but joy comes in the morning. 

But Lily rose from the ashes with a when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent. 

She walked out on the stage in a butterfly outfit. It was a nod to her mother, her dreams that had once come true, and the lyrics to her original song she had written. Even though Simon called her out on her heartbreak of broken dreams, Lily remembered that even butterflies struggle to get their wings. 

She knew she would prove herself when she sang and she did! She blew everyone away with her angelic voice filled with joy. 

Lily stunned the judges with her strength, resilience, and God’s grace. In fact, she brought Heidi Klum to tears who couldn’t help but give her the golden buzzer. This won’t be the last we see of Lily and we absolutely cannot wait to see where God takes her next. 

Lily is living proof of how God can take our greatest heartaches and turn them into beautiful blessings.

Though it’s a short video, the actions we see in the brief clip changed several lives forever! Ali bin Nasser al Wardi, with the help of his father and brother, was able to save two children, ages 8 and 13 from the rushing water of a wadi. “Wadi” is an Arabic word, and it refers to a valley, ravine, or channel that is typically dry. In the rainy season, however, a wadi can turn to a tumult of dangerous water, which is what we see here. 

We see Ali bin Nasser al Wardi after he’s already entered the water. He struggles to collect the children into his arms without losing his bearing. The weight of the current is evident, and it’s easy to imagine how he might have lost his balance and been pulled under the water. It is a terrifying scene!

It was terrifying for Ali bin Nasser al Wardi as well, but when he saw the panic in the kids’ eyes, he knew he needed to help. Family members tied a rope around his waist, which is the only thing that kept the three from being lost to the deadly wadi! 

As Ali bin Nasser al Wardi clung to the children, the men on the bank pulled the rope. Though we cannot see the rope in the video, it was critical to the rescue. When he and the youngsters were close enough to grab from the bank, they were helped out and onto the safety of dry land. It must have been a heroing experience, Ali bin Nasser al Wardi slipping and fighting the flash flooding the entire time!

The Times of Oman shared Ali bin Nasser al Wardi’s words of appreciation. “I thank God for having enabled me to save the two children, and I thank Him for His great bounty and great gratitude for having made me a medium to save the two children,” he said.

One Burger King employee never missed a day of work for 27 years, and now a video of the hardworking man is going viral online.

After reaching 27 years of work without missing a shift, Kevin Ford’s company surprised him with a gift bag to celebrate. And he shared a video online of how grateful he was for the recognition.

“I just really want to tell everybody out there how thankful I am,” says Kevin. The video shows Kevin receiving items such as a tumbler, candy, pens, and a movie ticket in his gift bag.

But people online shared that they felt that his reward from his company for never taking a day off work after 27 years was lacking.

“After 27 years of working, that’s all he got?” one person wrote on Instagram.

“If I was that manager, I would have been totally embarrassed to give such a bag of ‘leftovers’ to Kevin as a ‘reward’ for his 27 years of complete devotion to the company,” wrote another person on YouTube. “The public has come through and properly rewarded this wonderful man.”

After Kevin’s video went viral online, one of his daughters created a GoFundMe account for him. She described on the page how her single dad worked so hard to support her and her siblings. She writes, “In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money, but if anyone feels like blessing him, he would love to visit his grandchildren.”

What started as a goal of $200 in order for Kevin to get a plane ticket to see his grandchildren, has now reached more than $170,000 raised! Even a $5,000 donation from actor David Spade was made.

Then the Today Show had Kevin on to interview him about what it feels like to be on the receiving end of all this.

“It’s like a dream, you know, a dream come true,” he shares. “It’s just overwhelming, especially all the support I’m receiving every day. It’s just awesome.”

And here was Kevin’s response when he was asked about how he didn’t miss a day of work in almost 3 decades. “I don’t know, maybe I’m a robot,” he said jokingly. “I don’t know how I did it…you know, you just work. You gotta feed these kids and put them through school, so I just never even thought of missing a day.”

And this hardworking and grateful man shared his outlook on life and how he feels blessed by everything that comes to him, big and small.

“I’ve been through a lot. Everybody’s been through a lot,” he says. “So, I look to the small things in life, and I’m grateful for everything. I’m grateful for every day I wake up, that I can go to work, that I can be a good citizen, and be a good American and just, you know, do my part. So, I’m just grateful for everything, everything I get.”

I Am Second, a Dallas project launched in 2008, presents a story of redemption about one man who, after having 27 arrests and becoming a convicted felon, found God inside prison. His is a powerful story of saving grace and healing!

Michael Molthan grew up in a wealthy home in the suburbs of Dallas, graduated from Plano High School, and established a home-building business; he was recognized for over 25 years as one of the best luxury home builders in the country.  

In this 10-minute video, Michael first explains how his drug and alcohol use and related behaviors took over his life and resulted in him being arrested an astonishing 27 times in four years! Michael recalls knowing that with his 27th mugshot, he would be going to prison for a long time. He landed in Bradshaw State Prison in Henderson, Texas in an “aggravated assault tank,” where the prisoners were murderers and serving life sentences. Michael had never committed crimes of that nature. 

At 2:00 minutes, Michael shares that he had been sexually abused by his grandfather from a very young age. He experienced tremendous confusion because of that betrayal, and he tried to kill himself when he was in high school. Michael’s drug and alcohol use began then, but it was years later when he had his first arrest.

Michael returns to the story of his time in prison, sharing that he’d gotten a copy of The Life Recovery Bible from another inmate and began reading it to his cellmate, who was unable to read or write. Michael describes that within four days of reading, he’d begun to feel less anxious and more calm, and he’d begun to relate to the men of the Bible. 

On July 7, 2017, Michael woke up and had an uncanny feeling of release. He breathed deeply out, expelling years of hate and resentment. Then, he breathed deeply in, a refreshing rush of cold air and with that a feeling of incredible love for those around him. 

He continued reading the Bible, and now more and more of his tank mates were listening. The men in the tank grew closer as Michaels reading continued, and his reading of God’s Word was changing lives!

Michael was released almost by accident in October of 2017. Released with nothing and not sure where to go, he went first to see Judge Jennifer Bennett, the judge who had sentenced him. During that visit, Judge Bennett pardoned Michael and requested that he continue doing the very thing he’d been doing in jail. So, he did.

With the peace that comes from serving others instead of oneself, Michael has spent the years since his release sharing his story and ministering to others about God’s forgiveness and His ability to use every person—no matter what their truth is!

Michael's addictions cost him everything, including his family and friends, his marriage, his kids, his business, and his freedom. Now, Michael values his relationship with Jesus Christ more than anything else, and he desires to help others to find the true freedom that is possible only through Him!
