May 24, 2020<br />This week we talk about the most popular kind of magic: Movie magic. This kind of magic relies on your own imagination to help you feel like something is real when it really isn't. Going to a Disney theme park draws upon this same kind of imagination and yet, there's one ingredient to the magic that is always overlooked by children: love. The trip is not complete unless you go to that movie or visit Disneyland with some loving family and friends. Even the happiest place on earth can be a miserable experience if you're with grumpy selfish people. Love more than a feeling, it's a doing.

<br />For several days I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to say something in this troubled time. After the Virginia governors press conference on March 23rd I had to say something. Now as of March 30, 2020 and with the "stay at home," order this seems relevant again. <br /><br />Enjoy and be encouraged. Please share! A Moment of Encouragement During the COVID-19 Pandemic

For several days I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to say something in this troubled time. After the Virginia governors press conference on March 23rd I had to say something. Now as of March 30, 2020 and with the "stay at home," order this seems relevant again.

If you are Mom and have a rebellious Son or Daughter, then this song is for you:<br /><br />I was ten years old, when I promised my Mom, I would be a man of God. A few years later I was standing beside her grave. I was just thirteen years old when my Mom suddenly died. <br />I formed a gang and rebelled against my Father, and as time passed I got into more and more trouble. I bowed my head in shame as I stood before a Judge; handcuffed between two Police Officers. My Father turned away from me and sat back down, when the Judge invited him to take his rebellious teenage son home on a probation and rehabilitation programme. The only response my Father gave before sitting down was to say, "Send him away your Honour" and so the Judge had no choice but to sentence me to three years in a Young Offenders Military Training Detention Centre, for robbing a warehouse store with two older lads. <br />The sadness and pain that follows doesn't need to be shared here, as my song says it all and as my story unfolds, things go from bad to worse, until… well I will leave that for you to find out!<br /> <br />I dedicate my Testimony song to all Moms out there who are praying for their rebellious Sons and Daughters to come to Christ and my prayer is that Mom’s everywhere will derive encouragement and hope from my story, to be assured that if God can save a rebellious wretch like me, then He can save their rebellious child also.<br /> <br />Blessings and love in Jesus.<br />Dan Carlton<br />
