THE COUNCIL OF JERUSALEM 50AD

Council of Jerusalem,
a conference of the Christian Apostles in Jerusalem in about 50 AD that decreed that Gentile Christians did not have to observe the Mosaic Law
of the Jews.

THE LETTER I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR !

Romans 7
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

BOUNCE BACK !

Could we ultimately spring back in better shape than when we were slammed to the ground?

DID CHRIST DIE IN VAIN?

Galatians 2:21

RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH

Romans 10:3

EVERYONE LAUGHED WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

WHERE GOD ALWAYS MEETS HIS PEOPLE

WHERE GOD ALWAYS MEETS HIS PEOPLE

Ruth chapter 2 - Growing in Grace and a Philly love story (2 of 8)

We look at the 2nd chapter of Ruth with a focus on growing in our understanding of God's unmerited favor. There is a challenge at the end.

WHEN GRACE AND LAW WERE BABIES

" Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman." Galatians 4

PUTTING THE "X" BACK IN CHRISTMAS

A Merry X mas to all!

SUBSTITUTIONARY RIGHTEOUSNESS

A CHURCH WITHOUT SPOT OR BLEMISH
Romans 10:3
"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."

ISAIAH FORETELLS OF THE COMING MESSIAH

ISAIAH FORETELLS OF THE COMING MESSIAH
Isaiah has been more strongly attacked by critics of the Bible than almost any other book of the Bible. Perhaps this is because Isaiah contains evidence that Jesus Is indeed the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Christ in Isaiah exactly.

HOW TO CREATE SINLESS BLOOD

THE VIRGIN BIRTH In order to produce a sinless man and yet be the son of Adam, God must provide a way whereby that man would have a human body derived from Adam but have not a drop of Adam's sinful blood. Here is the scientific biological reason for the sinlessness of the Man Christ Jesus.

ALL/MANY

We all must have a righteousness that exceeds anything we could ever produce through our own effort. That’s where Jesus enters! Failure to understand this truth is at the root of all feelings of guilt and condemnation. If we understand our right standing with God on the basis of what Jesus did for us, and not by our own actions, then the power to be condemned is gone. Those who live with emotions of unworthiness are not trusting in God’s righteousness but are looking to their own actions to obtain right standing with God.

A VISIT TO BETHLEHEM

In Micah 5, the prophet foretold that Messiah would come from the small and seemingly insignificant town of Bethlehem.....
But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past ... And he will stand to lead his flock with the LORD’s strength, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. Then his people will live there undisturbed, for he will be highly honored around the world. And he will be the source of peace... (Micah 5:2–5, NLT)

SEEING JESUS IN HANUKKAH, THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar, which may occur at any time from late November to late December in the Gregorian calendar. The festival is observed by lighting the candles of a candelabrum with nine branches, called a menorah (or hanukkiah). One branch is typically placed above or below the others and its candle is used to light the other eight candles. This unique candle is called the shamash. Each night, one additional candle is lit by the shamash until all eight candles are lit together on the final night of the festival.

GOD IS NOT MAD AT YOU!!!!

"How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!..." (Ps 139:17–18 NLT).
All of God's innumerable thoughts toward you are filled with good for you. Rest in His heart to do good for you today.
