Judge Caprio Says Perseverance Key To Overcoming Early Struggles

“If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?” the interviewer asks Frank Caprio, a well-loved American judge and politician.

Frank responds, “Aggressive” and the interviewer asks why he answered with that word.

He replies, “I feel that being aggressive was the reason why that I was able to overcome whatever material and financial problems that we had as a family when I was younger.”

Frank also talks about how he came from a poor family and had to work very hard. He does say that perseverance is probably a better word and changes his answer.

And what a great answer that is! No matter what our lives might bring, perseverance is the key. We can get through most things with that in mind.

We should also be depending on God and asking for prayer to help us persevere through whatever challenges might come our way.

Frank served as the Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Providence, RI, and as the Chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education. You can also see him on the televised program, “Caught in Providence.”

Frank’s videos have gone viral and he has his own YouTube channel

Sadly, in December of 2023, he announced that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. During the video where he announces this, he also asks for the community to pray for him. He recently gave an update on his treatments, which he gets every two weeks.

We want to pray for Frank as he fights cancer. He has inspired so many over the years, and we know that he will use perseverance for this current struggle as he has in the past.

What a great reminder for all of us to continue to pray, and persevere, through all of life’s challenges.

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience. And patience, experience; and experience, hope. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” - Romans 5:3-5

Rock Legend Jon Bon Jovi Has Sweet Moment With His Daughter On Stage

Legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi had a sweet and moving moment with his daughter on stage during one of his concerts.

No parent wants to see their children grow up. If mom and dad had their choice, their children would remain little for as long as possible. As all parents know and understand, that is not possible. Childhood passes too quickly because children have a nasty habit of growing up, moving out and starting their own lives.

As one video posted on YouTube shows, even Rock & Rock Hall of Fame members long for the days when their children were still little. During a 2017 concert in Las Vegas, Jon brought his daughter, Stephanie, up on stage.

At around the 2:55-minute mark of the clip, Jon mentions how everyone has a precious little girl in their life. Because of time, they don’t stay little for long.

Jon adds that his once little girl, Stephanie, is not so little anymore. She has grown up, much to Jon’s dismay. Jon and the band then move into the song “I Got the Girl,” according to See It Live.

During the performance, the "Livin’ on a Prayer” singer starts looking behind him. At one point, Jon even motions for someone to come up on stage, saying, “Come over here.”

Moments later, Jon’s daughter appears on stage and the two dance together. At the song’s end, Jon grabs his daughter and gives her several kisses on the face, and then the two share a loving and heartwarming embrace.

The crowd goes wild. They show their appreciation by giving a thunderous round of applause and cheers as they take in the sweet moment between a loving father and his daughter.

Enjoy the time you have with your children because it does not last forever. Those are some of life’s most precious moments.

Four Women Who Were Friends In High School Reunite At The Same Retirement Home

Four women who were friends in high school, back in the 1950s, have now been reunited because they all live at the same retirement home.

Life is all about relationships. No one was made to experience life all by themselves. We all require connection with other human beings. Even the most standoffish and anti-social individual wants someone who knows and understands them.

One of the most important types of relationships we’ll ever form in life is friendships. Friends are special people who are shoulders to cry on when times get tough. They give a word of encouragement when needed, and they are there to celebrate some of life’s special moments and milestones.

However, unfortunately, whether due to time or distance, some friendships can fade and cease to exist. But others are strong enough to withstand such hurdles, including four women who went to the same California high school in the 1950s. Despite the time that may have passed, four elderly women remain friends. They now live at the same retirement center.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the women reminisced about their high school days.

“We had a prom every year,” Joan Harris said. “We had a girls basketball team. And we played other Catholic girls’ high schools. We had typing, and we had music and art.”

While in their advanced age, the women understand just how valuable and important friendship is now. Their time together means everything to them.

“I think friendship is very important,” Sylvia Crane said. “And having old friends is wonderful. There’s so many of us that are gone. It’s very important to me to know that I still have these three wonderful women around me.”

What a heartwarming story about friendship that has endured and withstood the test of time!

Genius 2-Year-Old Amazes With His Skill For Quickly Solving Math Problems

One highly intelligent young man, a 2-year-old, possesses quite the impressive skill of quickly solving math problems.

In school, most people had at least some classes they seemed to have a natural aptitude in and picked up the lessons easily and quickly. That may have been history, English or even shop class. For whatever reason, the knowledge and skills dispensed in those courses were acquired easily, with little effort.

But on the other hand, everyone had other courses that weren’t as easy. Courses like science, health and math may have given you fits, and even with extra study and practice, it still didn’t click. For me, that was always math. Working with numbers was always something that I struggled with mightily.

However, one young man, in a video posted on Instagram, demonstrates his genius-level intelligence and grasp of math and mathematical concepts. In the video, the 2-year-old stands at a whiteboard with a handful of problems written on it.

The little guy then approaches and while talking and mumbling to himself, quickly moves down the board, filling in the answers. His swift pace would be impressive for someone much older than him, but considering he’s only 2 years old, it’s simply astounding.

After he writes in his answers, the young man is all smiles. He also has his own personal cheering section. Two people out of frame are heard clapping for the little guy, exclaiming, “Good job!”

God has blessed everyone with different skills, talents and interests. He expects us to use those gifts to bring glory and honor to His name. Whatever He gives us, He expects a return, especially when it comes to our God-given gifts and talents. After all, what good is a gift if it’s never opened and used?

Woman Finds Black Bear Hanging Out Underneath Her California Home

A woman in California came across a massive black bear hanging out and enjoying itself under her house.

Most people adore animals. It’s nearly impossible for individuals to get their fill of cats, dogs and other members of the four-legged and furry friend community. They would do anything and everything they could to help and protect them. It pains people to see an animal suffering or in any pain.

However, there are some animals from which people should keep their distance, or they might be the ones who end up hurting and in pain. Snakes, alligators and bears immediately come to mind when considering members who fit this exclusive category.

But for one woman, Tina, it was impossible to avoid a run-in with a massive black bear because it had parked itself under her house!

“When I saw the crawlspace grate ripped off its hinges, I’m like, ‘Oh, no, it’s down there,” she told Kelly Clarkson. “So, I walked down to my basement with my flashlight, and the eyes shone right back at me.”

However, Tina, despite having a bear weighing several hundred pounds staring right at her from under her house, managed to get the animal out on her own!

Hilariously, Tina first turned to Google for answers to fix her problem, searching, “How to get a bear out of a crawlspace.” Unfortunately, the internet wasn’t much help. So, she turned to her town’s mayor and the police, who advised her to purchase mothballs.

Taking the advice, Tina secured some mothballs and threw them underneath the house with the bear. That was successful. The bear left on its own, probably to look for another crawlspace to hang out under.

The creatures God placed on Earth deserve love and respect. However, if I found a bear parked under my house, I’d have a for-sale sign in my yard quickly!

City Workers Help Woman Find Wedding Ring After It Fell In Dumpster

One woman is grateful for the Greenville, South Carolina, employees who went to great lengths to find her wedding ring after it fell into a dumpster.

Weddings are beautiful ceremonies in which two people pledge to stick with one another through life’s ups and downs, through the good and the bad. Of course, everyone knows that in addition to the vows during the ceremony, rings are exchanged. The rings are a sign of that never-ending commitment, becoming valuable and cherished pieces of jewelry because of that significance.

So, when Melanie Harper loses her wedding ring, it’s easy to imagine the terror and dread she must have felt. She was placing trash in a recycle bin when the ring slipped off her finger and into the endless sea of recyclable material.

“After I didn’t find it, in my head, I imagined that Price is Right game, Plinko,” she said. “And the ring just like plinking down to the bottom.”

Melanie, trying to recover the ring, reached out to the Greenville, South Carolina Department of Public Works. The department’s supervisor had empathy for Melanie. He put himself in her position and then made a decision.

They spilled out the contents of the container all over the parking lot and then began searching through the trash, looking for the lost ring. The odds of ever ringing something so small are minuscule, next to zero, right?

Well, Travis Golden did happen to find the ring!

After the ring was recovered and returned to Melanie, she met up with the men to express her sincere gratitude.

Praise God for their kind and diligent efforts. That would have been a devastating loss if that ring had been lost forever.

What a terrific example of how our efforts and hard work can and do directly impact the lives of others.

Heroic Firefighter’s Quick Actions Saves Neighbor’s Child

The quick and heroic actions of an off-duty firefighter saved the life of his neighbor’s child, who was choking and unable to breathe.

While the world is lost and broken, full of hurting and struggling people, heroes still exist. However, sadly, these true heroes do not get the praise and attention they deserve. Instead, society's attention and spotlight are too often focused on those falsely considered heroes. Sports stars, musicians, greedy Washington politicians and Hollywood actors hog all the attention, acclaim and underserved praise while never doing anything heroic.

A clip posted on YouTube shines the light on a real hero, Greg Tabeek. Greg, a trained paramedic and a firefighter, encountered a horrifying situation while off-duty but remained calm and saved the day.

The situation began when Al, a Florida father, noticed that his infant daughter had collapsed. He knew something was immediately wrong and acted, not wanting to waste a second. Al ran over to his neighbor Greg’s house.

The video shows Al holding his young daughter as he rings the doorbell, waiting for Greg to answer. Once he does, Greg grabs the young girl, asks Al if he has reached out to 911 and immediately gets to work.

Eventually, Greg was able to successfully dislodge a large piece of plastic that had become stuck in the child’s throat.

Greg, recalling the scary life-or-death situation, said he was able to help because of the lessons he’s picked up and learned throughout his career.

“It was a little bit of a shock to what’s going on,” Greg said. “But again, it’s just the training and trust in your skills, and stay calm and let my training go to work and try to handle it.”

Praise God for Greg and his heroic efforts! He saved a life and kept a father from experiencing the worst thing that any parent could ever endure: losing a child.

‘Special Place In Heaven’ For Parents Of Children With Special Needs, Says Judge Frank Caprio

Judge Frank Caprio, of “Caught in Providence” fame, believes that there is a “special place in heaven” for those who are parents to children with special needs.

Parenting is one of life’s biggest blessings. There is no feeling like opening your heart and home to a child, either through birth or adoption. Children add so much joy, love and happiness to life.

But like everything else in life, worthwhile things are also difficult. The actions, words and lessons children learn from their parents will impact the rest of their lives. There are massive responsibilities that come with being a parent. That’s especially true if the Lord blesses a couple with a child with special needs.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Judge Frank Caprio said parents who have been blessed with children with special needs have been set apart in the eyes of God. In fact, he believes that heaven has a “special place” for those who care for and love children with special needs.

“There’s a special place in heaven for parents who are raising children with special needs,” the judge said. “Raising any child is challenging. Parenting a child with special needs will teach you just how strong you really are. It requires incredible tenacity, patience, resourcefulness and an unwavering commitment to never-ending love.”

What a beautiful sentiment from the kind, loving and gracious judge about life, parenting and children with special needs.

Yes, that child may require more time, attention and assistance than other children. But they are still just as special and loved in the eyes of the Lord, and as Judge Frank Caprio believes, so are that child’s parents.

True parenting, the judge adds, is not about caring for and loving the child you thought you would have one day but doing that for the one you do have.

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”

Caring Police Officers Replace Toys After 4-Year-Old’s Birthday Gifts Stolen

A couple of police officers in Ohio went above and beyond the call of duty when they surprised a 4-year-old child with toys after his birthday gifts were stolen.

Birthdays are a big deal to children. They anxiously and expectedly look forward to celebrating the day they came into the world. The joyous occasion is often recognized, in some form or fashion, with a party, friends, cake, ice cream and gifts.

Children enjoy every element of their birthday celebration. But if they are being honest, most children would likely mention the presents as their favorite part of the whole ordeal. Who doesn’t like receiving gifts?

That’s why police officers in Ohio rushed in to save the day when 4-year-old Jae Ingram’s birthday gifts were stolen from his mother’s vehicle.

What kind of person steals from a child?

What could have remained a terrible incident, reminding people of the evil and wickedness that exists in the world was used as an opportunity to show others love, kindness and charity.

After receiving the call to report the stolen presents, the officers got to work, doing what they could to brighten the young man’s big day.

“I ended up going to the local Walgreens,” Officer Drew Olinger said. “And we just wanted to make sure that he got his gifts for his birthday.”

A doorbell camera captures the moment the officers arrive to surprise the young man with the presents.

“I know that these won’t make up for the gifts that you didn’t get, but we got you some stuff,” one of the officers says.

The young man can be heard yelling with delight.

Bad things happen in life. Everyone will experience the cruelty of this broken and lost world. But those are also chances and opportunities to show others love and kindness and to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Loving Husband Treats Wife With Dementia To ‘The Best Day She Can Have’ Every Single Day

Grab the tissues for this one! One loving and devoted husband is determined to provide his wife, who has been diagnosed with dementia, with “the best day she can have” every single day.

Marriage is a lifelong commitment between two people who vow to remain together through the good and the bad. Part of the vows exchanged while standing at the altar includes a passage about remaining together through sickness and in health. Those are sacred promises, not to be taken lightly.

When one man in Australia, Jim, said “in sickness and in health” to his wife, Maureen, he meant it as demonstrated by his loving and moving actions. In a video posted on Facebook, Jim states that Maureen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia four years ago.

Every single day since her diagnosis, Jim brings Maureen down to their favorite café. Jim and Maureen also visit, every day, the beach where they had their first date and the place where they first held hands, according to the Manly Observer

“My philosophy is each day, I want to give Maureen the best day she can have,” Jim said. “That statement stems from when she came out of the hospital, and each day could have been her last.”

But that is not all that Jim does for his wife. The video’s narrator states that Jim noticed Maureen would quietly reach out for other people’s hands. Most of the time, Maureen’s attempts to touch or hold someone’s hands would go unnoticed. So, Jim created a t-shirt with a message to ensure people noticed.

Following her diagnosis, Jim was told that Maureen likely would not make it another four months. However, Jim reveals that doctors told him that more than two years ago.

What a beautiful and touching example of wholly committed and unconditional love! God bless this couple and Jim’s efforts to provide love, comfort and care to Maureen.

Surprise Reunion With Best Friend Brings 8-Year-Old To Tears

One young man, an 8-year-old, had the sweetest reaction because of an unexpected visit from his best friend. He was so moved that he was brought to tears.

Life is all about creating relationships and forming bonds with people. God did not make us to exist on an island or to experience life by ourselves. We were created to interact and communicate with others. This is demonstrated throughout the Bible, especially in the Garden of Eden, when God said it was not good for Adam to be alone, so He created Eve.

Friendships are among the most important and cherished relationships that anyone will ever forge. Friends are an uplifting voice, sharing words of encouragement and a shoulder to cry on during a troubling time. Deep, meaningful friendships make life a fuller, richer and happier experience.

A clip posted on YouTube shows that two young men – Liam and Sage - have already formed these deep, meaningful relationships. The short, 1-minute clip begins with Sage, who is all smiles, running into the arms of his 8-year-old best friend, Liam. For the first few moments, they don’t speak but hug, glad to be in one another’s presence again.

But then, Liam tells his buddy, “I love you.” After their loving embrace, Liam is spotted wiping tears away from his eyes. Their hug and Liam’s tears came after Sage surprised Liam with a visit. Sage and his family had recently moved 7 hours away, making seeing one another difficult.

However, despite Sage living several hours away from his buddy, the two keep in regular contact, talking over the phone. But as anyone knows, a phone call is no substitute for seeing someone in person.

The two little guys have been best friends for years. Their close friendship began when they were only two years old.

Friendships are vital, necessary relationships and must be nurtured, protected and cherished. Friends are yet another one of the Lord’s many blessings.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their work.”

Former NFL Player Emmanuel Acho: ‘Obedience’ To God Is Secret To Greatness

Former NFL Player Emmanuel Acho believes that obedience to God is the secret to doing and achieving greatness in life.

Most people want to do things that matter and make a difference. Individuals have a desire to know that their existence means something. Who doesn’t want to live a life of significance? But that is much easier said than done.

God has a unique will, plan and purpose for each human life. No one is put on Earth by mistake or by happenstance. The Lord wants to achieve something great in and through every life. But to do that, to know and understand and fulfill God’s will for our lives requires obedience on our part.

In a conversation with Christian musician Lecrae about the importance of talent and obedience, Emmanuel stated that he believes obedience will win out every time. He even points to specific people in the Bible, when they were obedient, that God used to achieve greatness.

“And so, I went on this goose chase, Old Testament of just, like, Moses, with Samson, Esther, whether it was Elijah, like what was the secret?” Emmanuel said. “And they all were obedient, and if they weren’t obedient that’s when they lost favor.”

Emmanuel adds that God can use anyone with any skill level or ability, but the Lord wants someone obedient to Him and His commands. In the Bible, God repeatedly used ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

“Yo, it’s not just about being talented,” he said. “I always tell people I’m talented, but I ain’t that talented, you feel me? I ain’t that talented. Are you willing to be obedient? That, to me, is the secret power to greatness.”

God is capable of miracles, more than anything we could ever imagine, and he has plans to include us but obedience to Him and His will is a must.

Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, ‘If any man has a desire to come after me, let him give up all, and take up his cross every day, and come after me.’”

Man’s Heartfelt And Tear-Filed Speech To Stepson On Wedding Day

A man became overwhelmed with emotion, shedding tears on his wedding day as he was giving a speech and making promises to his stepson.

A wedding is a beautiful ceremony in which two people make a life-long commitment to one another in front of family and friends. While a wedding is about the two people standing at the altar exchanging vows, it’s about more than that. More people are involved in and impacted by a wedding. A wedding is essentially the combining of two families.

A man about to get married was not only gaining a wife but also a stepson. A clip posted on YouTube shows the man, Eldridge Buchannan, addressing 7-year-old Kayden. He speaks directly to the young man, making a series of vows and promises to him.

“So, I vow to you from this day forward that I’m going to love you, I’m going to teach you, I’m going to guide you and I’m going to pour into you because you are a king, " Eldridge says with tears in his eyes. “And you my king.”

Eldridge also promised Kayden that he would show him what it means to be someone of integrity, to be a leader and what “it looks like for a man to love a woman.”

That tear-jerking moment was the result of a last-minute decision, according to Eldridge. He says that he decided to address Kayden only minutes before he was scheduled to make his way to the altar.

Additionally, Eldridge says that on the way to school, he has a series of talks and discussions with young Kayden.

“You know, we have a lot of talks on the way to school every morning about leadership and about integrity and respect and things of that nature,” Eldridge said.

Eldridge obviously cares a tremendous amount for Kayden and is willing to put in the time, effort and care that it takes to teach a little boy what it means to be a man.

Volunteer Who Has Undergone More Than 75 Surgeries Gets Special Recognition

Keygan is a 19-year-old living in Idaho and has an amazing heart for his community. However, his life is filled with many challenges.

In this video, Nate from East Idaho News starts to tell us a little bit about Keygan. He is one of 12 children, all of whom were adopted, and has what is called Nager Syndrome. This is where he has deformed arms, hands, feet, and facial deformities. He has also had to endure over 75 surgeries.

Even though he has been through so much he gives back by crocheting blankets and hats for his community. He has been crocheting for nine years now and taught himself to do so online. Very impressive!

In addition to crocheting, he also volunteers at several places around his community such as the family history center, the food pantry, and the hospital.

Nate goes on to say, “He has been through a lot but he gives and gives and gives. And today we want to give back to him.” He then goes to Keygan’s house however he isn’t home and has to come back a few hours later. Keygan was out in the community helping others.

Once he does get home, Nate meets him in the parking lot and asks him a little bit about the crocheting. He then gives Keygan the gift cards, which are from Amazon, and his favorite restaurants Olive Garden or Longhorn.

After Keygan gets the gift cards he says “Thank you so much” several times. He is very excited and thankful that he received the gifts.

The news received an email for the segment, “Feel Good Friday” in which they talked about Keygan and how he would be the right person to receive the gift because of how much he gives to his community.

Hero School Bus Step In And Saves Choking Third Grader

One woman, a school bus driver, quickly stepped up and acted when she saw a young man, a third grader, choking, saving his life.

Heroes come from all walks of life. Unfortunately, those so often referred to as heroes aren’t the least bit heroic. Instead, Hollywood actors, greedy Washington politicians and athletes are more concerned about themselves than the well-being of others. But there are still actual heroes today, such as Mayrelyn Lopez.

Mayrelyn is a bus driver in Florida. She transports the children to and from school. She makes sure they get to their destination safely. But on one trip home after school, Mayrelyn found herself in a scary situation.

The clip posted on YouTube states that during the first stop on the way home from school, Mayrelyn got up from her driver’s to address a situation on the bus. It was resolved quickly, but on the way back to her seat Mayrelyn spotted something unusual and frightening.

One of the children, 8-year-old Levi Holder, had turned purple. He was choking on a piece of candy, unable to breathe. That’s when Mayrelyn, without thinking, sprang into action, according to Fox 35

The school bus driver states that she grabbed the young man and began performing the Heimlich Maneuver. Moments later, Mayrelyn recalls that she successfully dislodged the candy, and young Levi was able to start breathing once again.

“It’s nothing to think in at the moment,” Mayrelyn said. “Just do it, what, what I have to do.”

Mayrelyn is the definition of a hero. She paid attention to her surroundings, stepped in, acted quickly and saved a life.

Praise God for Mayrelyn and people like her who do not get the attention they deserve. They aren’t seeking attention or trying to bring glory to themselves. Instead, they do what is right.

Woman ‘Struggling’ Overwhelmed And In Tears After Stranger’s Comment

A woman “struggling” and going through medical issues was overwhelmed and left in tears following comments from a stranger as she left the gym.

Everyone has issues, problems and subjects that can result in discomfort, hurt and humiliation. Human beings are far from perfect. All have their flaws, imperfections and struggles. Some may be more apparent than others, but everyone has something they are fighting and struggling against.

For one woman who posted a video on TikTok, her weight and overall health are issues for her. This is complicated by, as she hints at in the clip, underlying medical issues. However, despite her struggle, she is taking action and making an effort to do something about it. She states she has been in the gym, working out for “a little over two years now.”

But as she was leaving the gym, a stranger’s kind, uplifting and encouraging comment left her in tears. She was overwhelmed by the man’s statement.

“He goes, ‘I’ve seen you in here every week, almost, almost every day, like seeing you in here every week, and I’m proud of you,”” she said.

She mentioned that the man who spoke those kind words to her was very much into the gym, super fit and in shape.

Through tears, the young woman stated how much those words meant to her and how big a difference a kind word can make to someone struggling.

“You have no idea how much people that are going through something appreciate the kindness,” she said. “Because he didn’t have to say it. He doesn’t even know what I’m going through. I’ve never talked to anybody in the gym about it, except for the management.”

Kind and uplifting words said to someone may not seem like much, but for someone who is fighting or struggling with an issue or a situation, it can make all the difference.

At the end of the video, the woman said the man’s kind words “made her day.”

Boyfriend Proposes As Woman Leaves Hospital After Fall

During her send-off at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, Adyson Bryce’s boyfriend, Evan Kennard, proposed. And it was very sweet.

Adyson was asked the question about if she was surprised about the proposal. “I was, 'cause I thought he knew that I’m not like I don’t really like big public things,” she says with a smile.

The interviewer then asks, “Did you like it in the end?” and she responds, “I did. Yes. I did love it. Seeing everyone that took care of me while walking down the hallway made me really emotional.”

I bet it was quite emotional to be supported by all the workers who had helped her during the nine weeks she spent in rehabilitation after the young couple fell from a double ladder in a tree while hunting.

Evan, the boyfriend was okay but Adyson became paralyzed, She couldn’t move anything and knew something was wrong. She ended up suffering a spinal cord injury.

Regarding her recovery, Adyson shares, “The first finger I moved was my ring finger. I just like wiggled it a little bit and slowly a little more kept coming back every day.”

Evan goes on to say, “When the accident happened I further realized that you know she was somebody that I never want to live without.”

The couple would love to have a fall wedding but Adyson wants to make sure that she can walk down the aisle and is still determining if she will be ready this next fall.

The couple have been through a lot together and I am sure there is still so much healing to go but it is inspiring to see the love they have for one another shine through. Prayers for them as they start their lives together.

“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.” - Song-Of-Solomon 8:7

Loving Woman Works To Get Braille Books Into Hands Of Child With Visual Impairments

A loving and caring woman is working hard to supply blind and visually impaired children all over the world with braille books.

Reading is, as has been said, fundamental. Without being able to read, one wouldn’t be able to function well in society. Beyond being a necessity, reading has other benefits, including an expanded vocabulary and knowledge. Books and the joy of reading are things all children should be introduced to at an early age.

However, for those youngsters who are blind or visually impaired, learning braille offers them a chance to enjoy reading and books. But, as one woman, Debra, mentioned during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, books with braille are often expensive. That’s why she created a nonprofit to help put braille books into children’s hands for free.

“Like way back in 1980, I met a mom whose daughter was blind, and she said they had a hard time getting books for her if they could find them,” Debra said. “They were so expensive, like, $100 to $200 each, Kelly. And that just hurt my heart because my own kids had, you know, you can get books for $2, $3 each. And that’s what kids need, lots and lots of books.”

Because of this conversation and learning about the expensive nature of books with Braille, Debra started Seedlings Braille Books for Children in her basement. The aim of Debra’s organization is simple but very important.

“So I thought I could do something about it, maybe,” Debra said. “I started a small nonprofit in my basement in Detroit called Seedlings Braille Books for Children, making more books available, keeping the prices really low and getting more books in kids’ hands.”

What a terrific mission!

Debra saw a need, and because of her love and concern, got busy and worked to meet that need, to provide children who have visual impairments with books.

Man Creates Stunning Works Of Art Using The Sun And A Magnifying Glass

This man uses the sun to make magnificent art pieces!

In this clip of the Kelly Clarkson show, Kelly interviews Michael Papadakis, a creative artist who uses the sun to make some amazing pieces. It is almost hard to believe he made these with just the sun and a magnifying glass.

During the interview, Michael says that he has been an artist for many years and went to college for fine arts. In 2012, he went on a long journey from South Korea to Greece. He says he “knew that I wanted to travel and create art. So I needed to find a tool that I could fit in my pack without taking up too much weight.”

He then goes on to say one day he felt the sun beating down on his head and realized he could use the sun in his art.

What creative thinking! Michael picked up a magnifying glass and started to create artwork with it. He tells Kelly that it can take between 1 to 40 hours for each piece and that he can create the art whether it is cold or hot out, as long as there is sun.

After noticing that so many people would watch him and ask him how he did what he did, he started to teach this type of art to other people, including children. Giving them advice and direction on how to use the sun to make art themselves.

Michael is a great example of using what you have access to and finding beauty in all things. God created the sun, the world, and everything in it and we as his people can find beauty in his creation. Just as Michael has done.

“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” - John 1:3

Lauren Daigle Opens Up About Struggle With Depression And Anxiety

One of the most talented and popular musicians in all of Christian music, Lauren Daigle, has now opened up about her fight with depression and anxiety.

Life is often not an easy or fair experience. Everyday living can push anyone to their breaking point. The stress and worry of life can become overwhelming, weighing heavily on one’s mind. At times, it can feel like the entire world is on your shoulders or back. Even someone who thinks themselves to be the most mentally tough can encounter issues.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lauren states that she has experienced panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

“I have dealt with panic attacks,” she said. That was kind of a new thing in my life – anxiety, depression.”

But, thankfully, there is One who is a comfort and a shelter amid the storms and troubles of life. There is One who provides a peace that surpasses all understanding. He is the one that Lauren turned to whenever she was going through these dark valleys.

“And the more I decided to lean into God and say, ‘God, despite what I see, despite the chaos that is surrounding me and the way I feel and the way that all this works. Despite that chaos, I have to trust that you know what is greater.”

Like all Christians, Lauren encounters periods when her faith in Him, even when she turns to God for help, protection and answers, can become shaken. When her faith and trust in God are wobbly at times, Lauren adds that she’ll take it to Him in prayer.

However, no matter what we are dealing with or going through, God is still in control. He is still working and cares about and for us. Whatever we may be going through or dealing with, reach out for help. Don’t deal with an overwhelming situation by yourself, and also remember to take that matter to God.

The beauty of God is that He will, He will meet you right where you are,” Lauren said.

Psalm 55:22 “Put your cares on the Lord, and he will be your support; he will not let the upright man be moved.”
