Everybody dance NOW! Cue the music. This 61-year-old dad has a viral dance-off with his daughter during quarantine, and it will definitely bring a smile to your face. Out in San Diego, California, Brittany Revell has been recording herself dancing alongside her father on the popular app, TikTok. The dynamic duo have been performing various dance trends and posting their videos, and the Internet has been going crazy over them. “She’s been so patient with me. Thank goodness for all those retakes” he says over video chat, sitting beside his daughter. They both laugh. “It really just started during quarantine at our house.” Brittany shared. “We were both spending a lot more time at home. One day I just went up to him, and I was like, ‘Hey you wanna do a dance challenge on TikTok?’ And of course, being the supportive father he is was like ‘Of course.’” When not dancing for TikTok, the 28-year-old works as a physical therapy doctor. Her father does not have prior dance experience, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the videos. “He really picks it up fairly fast!” Brittany acknowledged. Their strategy: practice for an hour, break, allow their brains to process the movement, and then come back together and film. “To a lot of, maybe, dads out there that [are] a little apprehensive in not wanting to do it, I say ‘Go for it!’ You know you don’t have to be perfect,” her dad said. She added with a smile on her face, “We really never know what’s going to happen tomorrow, so let’s just spend as much time as we can together, positive time together.” She’s absolutely right. Jesus told us not to worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). As I heard one pastor say, “Tomorrow is for God.” So what does that leave us, today. May God bless us and guide us in using our time to share love with Him and those around us. May we find many ways to spread joy to the world.

A COVID nurse performs an original song, ‘Everyday Heroes’ on Britain’s Got Talent, and you’ve got to hear this. When we think of nurses, we think of physical healing and feeling better. We also think of how they have been on the front lines for the last year during the pandemic. They have cared for millions of patients world wide with COVID added on top of their general duties. Their care and compassion hasn’t wavered even though they were tired and worn down. Yet, Nurse Beth Porch had more to say about the fighting on the front lines. She performed a timely, original song on Britain’s Got Talent in honor of healthcare staff like her. We would do well to make it our anthem in healing the sick and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Beth not only cared for ailing bodies, she is healing souls with her original song, ‘Everyday Heroes’. Who doesn’t get emotional when the song starts out with these lyrics: We are fighting this war on the front line We don’t have bullets or armor But we‘ve got prayers every night I haven’t seen my mom or my dad in a long time Staying lonely is the best way to fight And the world we know forever changed Is it any wonder she got a standing ovation? She came out on the stage with thick red, curly hair, glasses, coveralls and a baby pink t-shirt. And the moment she opened her mouth, the lyrical melody was enough to grab the hearts of everyone in the audience. Go ahead, take a listen to her song. And if you know someone fighting on the front lines, send up a prayer and send them this video. They will feel deeply appreciated! “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10.

Roma Downey shared the stern warning that fellow actress Della Reese gave her future husband. Roma Downey is a Christian actress best known for the TV series, Touched by an Angel. The popular TV series aired from 1993 to 2003. Roma played the angel, Monica, in this drama, where she was sent to earth to show kindness to those who struggled. When Roma started the show, she met the most amazing woman who went on to become one of her closest friends, Della Reese. She said that in the show the two characters that the women played, actually reflected how their relationship was off set as well. One of the first things that she noticed about Della was her kindness towards everyone. ”When she would get called to the set, they would have to give her a fifteen minute warning, because she hugged everybody.” Roma shared on set with the TV show The Real. Roma shared, “She came in and she hugged everybody, it didn’t matter if you were the janitor, if you were the star, the director. She stopped, and she saw God in everybody.” Roma also shared her experience of when the two first met. “I remember when I first met her, I’m originally from Ireland, and I can still remember my parents teaching me to stick my hand out, to shake hands, to be polite.I remember the first day that I did that, and she just took her arms and gave me a giant hug.” One of the other things that Roma shared, while she remembered her friend who passed away, was the first time that Della met Roma’s future husband. “Now when she first met my husband, she took him in her arms, and I just thought they were hugging. She was whispering in his ear, she said to him ‘that’s my baby girl, and if you hurt her, I will have you killed.’” Della was obviously a great friend to Roma, and we hope this fond memory gave you a chuckle and brightened your day.

First on the list was Jeremy Renner, performing Billy Joel’s ‘New York State of Mind.’ He hit all of the notes beautifully, and really wowed the audience with his talent, Jeremy is best known as the Avengers actor who portrayed the character Hawkeye. Next up was Jamie Foxx, he powerfully performed the song ‘Storm.’ He is known best for his movies Law Abiding Citizen and Dream Girls, and he was recently in a movie called Project Power. Zooey Deschanel is known best for the hit movies Elf, and 500 Days of Summer, and for her portrayal of the beloved Jess in the TV Show, New Girl. But the actress is also in a popular band called She & Him. In this clip she is performing, ‘Who’s Gonna Follow You Home?’ with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Kate Hudson has a soulful performance of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ by Sinead O’Connor. She is known best in romantic comedies like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Bride Wars. Twice Oscar-nominated actor, Robert Downey Jr is perhaps best known as Iron Man, and he also made the list! He really wowed us with a song called Man Like Me. Amanda Seyfried puts on a sweet performance of her song Amanda’s Love Song. She is best known in Mamma Mia, and Dear John. Tom Cruise is a popular movie actor in movies like Top Gun and Jerry Maguire, and he made the list with his performance ofForeigner’s ‘I Want To Know What Love Is.’ Anne Hathatway has a beautiful, powerful voice. That is what landed the actress in the musical, Les Miserables. In this clip she performed her song for Meryl Streep called ‘She’s Me, Pal.’ Hugh Jackman is a man of many talents and stars in movies such as Wolverine and The Greatest Showman. He showed off his skills in this clip where he performed ‘Suddenly’ from Les Miserables. The Devil Wears Prada and Mary Poppins star Emily Blunt wowed the audience when she performed the song ‘Company’ from the musical Into The Woods. James McVavoy is an actor who appeared in movies like Atonement and The Last King of Scotland. In this clip he performed Copacabana by Barry Manilow. Keria Knightly is very popular in the Pirates of the Caribbean fandom for her portrayal of Elizabeth Swan. In this clip she performed the song ‘Tell Me If You Wanna Go Home.’ Twilight actor Robert Patinson will soon be portraying the caped crusader in the upcoming film ‘The Batman.’ He definitely has a deep and powerful voice, and in this clip he performed the song ‘It’s All On Your Paroles Par.‘ Nicole Kidman is an unforgettable actress, with her role in Moulin Rouge she is no stranger to the musical scene. In this clip she performed Frank Sinatra’s’ Somethin’ Stupid.’ Rise Of Skywalker Star Oscar Isaac made the list when he performed Bill Murry’s parody of the popular theme to the movie franchise Star Wars. Good Place actress Kristen Bell is a talented performer as well as a voice actress, her most recent movies have been the hit Disney flicks, Frozen, where she voiced Anna, and Tangled, where she voiced Rapunzel. The clip in this video is from her role in Frozen, where she performed For The First Time In Forever. Eddie Redmayne also stars in the musical Les Miserables, and in this scene he puts on an unforgettable performance of Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. You can really feel the pain in his voice and his facial expressions. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone both star in a movie called LaLa Land where they play a loving couple who meet in Los Angeles. It is a sweet romantic drama, and they perform duets such as ‘City Of Stars.’ In this clip you can see that they really work well together. Scarlett Johansson has a deep unforgettable voice. She is a beautiful singer as well as performer. She’s known in most of the movies in the Marvel universe, the superhero action movies. In this clip she sang the song, ‘These Boots Were Made For Walking.’ Finally Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick is accompanied by late night TV show host James Corden and they perform, ‘Don't Go Breaking My Heart,’ the single by Elton John. The two end up making a good pair. From this list we can see there are a lot of talented actors that can also sing, we hope to see more of their singing abilities in the future.

Southern Raised Bluegrass is taking us back with this live performance of ‘Orange Blossom Special.’ This favorite was originally released in 1938 and it has been covered by countless artists through the years including Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels. “Look a-yonder comin' Comin' down that railroad track Hey, look a-yonder comin' Comin' down that railroad track It's the Orange Blossom Special Bringin' my baby back” Siblings Lindsay, Sarah, Emily and Matt make up the Southern Raised Bluegrass band. The group was raised in the Ozark Mountains and they have blended their traditional music upbringing with multiple genres and their deep-rooted faith. For years, they’ve entertained us with popular covers of songs such as ‘What A Day That Will Be’ and ‘Shenandoah.’ The group describes themselves as creating a ‘Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads. SR has morphed a progressive sound that spans Christian Country/ Bluegrass, Celtic and Classical.’ Today, they are performing a live rendition of ‘Orange Blossom Special’ and it’s the perfect dose of nostalgia. “Well, I'm going down to Florida And get some sand in my shoes Or maybe Californy And get some sand in my shoes I'll ride that Orange Blossom Special And lose these New York blues” I never get tired of hearing a bluegrass song and it is such a blessing to hear the next generation continue this unique musical style. This was just the throwback song that my heart needed to hear today. Who else agrees?

Opera singer Ryan Gallagher had two judges fighting after his amazing performance of ‘The Prayer’ by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion on The Voice. This powerful song was originally written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis in 1999. It was written in both English and Italian for artists Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli to sing solo. But it was their incredible duet performance that truly propelled the song into the classic that it is today. “So let the children remember the sun Let them dance, let them soar For their lives have begun" Today, Ryan Gallagher is taking a risk by performing ‘The Prayer’ for his blind audition on the US rendition of The Voice. As soon as the music started, judge Kelly Clarkson was immediately interested. To make the audition even more impressive, Ryan belted out the Italian lyrics to the iconic tune. "Let the children engender the rain As the river runs through fields Forever subsiding their pain Prayer” After an anguishing few moments, Kelly finally pushed her button to turn around and see the voice behind the stunning performance. And just when she thought she had landed this talented singer for her team, fellow judge Blake Shelton hit his button at the last moment. That’s when the arguments really started and Kelly and Blake battled it out to land Ryan on their respective teams. Ultimately, the unique opera singer decided to join Team Kelly and we’re sure he’s going to have an amazing journey on The Voice.

The whole room starts singing along to the chorus, and Bon Jovi gets up and starts singing during the second verse of the song. The crowd gives him a loud round of applause. What a fun atmosphere! All the wedding guests were loving the duet performance and were taking videos of the two singing on stage together. Now this is the type of wedding reception that I want to go to! This 102-year-old WWII veteran is breaking all the stereotypes as she checks skydiving off of her bucket list. It’s not always easy getting older. It can be hard to deal with changes in your mind and body. And sadly, a lot of people think that once you get older, it means you are limited in what you can do. People will tell you all of the things that you will miss out on or the things that you are no longer allowed to do. But time and time again, the elderly are breaking the mold and showing that age is really nothing but a number. Vivian "Millie" Bailey is one of those inspiring people. At the age of 102, she is taking a huge leap of faith and jumping out of an airplane. Millie was moved to take the plunge after President George H.W. Bush did it at age 90. This WWII veteran said that skydiving was something she had always wanted to do but didn’t know if someone her age could do it. And this incredible moment all came together while Millie was filming an episode of Honor Flight Heroes. She mentioned that skydiving was on her bucket list but really didn’t want to pay that much for the experience. That’s when the program decided to surprise Millie by paying for the jump and capturing it all on film. After arriving to the ground safely, Millie was congratulated by many of her family and friends. She told ABC7 Staff, "It was wonderful, a real thrill. I was scared for one minute, it felt like I was tumbling and then I thought, somebody is holding onto me." What an incredible reminder that age is all about what we make it!
