As David reminds us in Psalm 23, the Lord is ultimately our Shepherd, and as our good Shepherd, He calls earthly shepherds to serve Him by caring for His sheep.
We learn patience from situations where we must be patient, and we learn faith and trust in situations where we must actively feel that trust in our hearts.
Despite our heartache and overwhelming emotions, we can remember that God truly is our help and that He is always there, never forsaking us, even when it feels like it.
If your body feels like it’s wearing out or wearing down, or maybe you’re worn out from caring for someone whose body is, you can still bring it all to God tonight.
We feel constant pressure to function to meet expectations. And yet, Jesus’ invitation speaks directly to our hearts - to our souls crowded by weariness.
Today, you and I will continue to grow in many ways—physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. But what matters most is that we stay planted in the house of the Lord.
Home is the place where we’re most known. And sometimes, if we’re honest, our home has a unique way of bringing out the best and the hardest parts of who we are.
